Ideas for your group include: helping seniors with things they need done around the house, providing transportation for those who need a ride to church, or assisting people who are moving. We also have opportunities within our church, including helping with the maintenance of our building and grounds, as well as the Spiritual Care Team Ministry.
For those needing assistance, we have partnered with other organizations in our community and encourage people needing assistance to call the United Services Assistance Line. This community outreach line can be reached 24 hours a day by merely dialing 2-1-1 on any land-line telephone. If you are limited to a cell phone, you must use the direct line for cellular service which is: 816-474-5112. The Assistance Line is a valuable outreach tool providing a community assistance resource in twenty different categories. These categories include: rent and utility assistance, food pantries, medical and mental health services. They also have the means to address many other needs. The New Hope Prayer List is a way we communicate our prayer needs to the entire church family on a weekly basis. To place a request on the Prayer List, please fill out a prayer request card on Sunday at our Worship Gathering or contact our Church Office Staff at 816-868-6977. Prayer requests for weekly publication in the church bulletin need to be submitted to the Church Office no later than Wednesday afternoon at 3 PM. Requests will remain on the Prayer List for a period of two weeks unless they are dated requests which will be taken off earlier. If you wish to have a request remain on the Prayer List more than two weeks, please contact the Church Office. We also recognize that sometimes you would like your request only be shared with our Ministry Team, and not shared publicly in our weekly bulletin. If so, just tell us that is your desire when you submit your prayer request. |
