Our Mission

The mission of New Hope Church of the Nazarene is to make Christlike disciples in the nations.

We are a Great Commission church (Matthew 28:19-20), commissioned to take the good news of life in Jesus Christ to people everywhere and to spread the message of Christlike living across the lands.

The Church of the Nazarene bonds together individuals who have made Jesus Christ Lord of their lives, sharing in Christian fellowship and seeking to strengthen each other in faith development through worship, preaching, training, and service to others. We strive to express the compassion of Jesus Christ to all persons, along with our personal commitment to Christlike living.

While the primary motive of the church is to glorify God, we also are called to actively participate in His mission—reconciling the world to himself.

Our Vision

Our vision at New Hope is to Love God, Love Neighbor, Love Like Christ

This vision is based on Jesus’ response in Matthew 22:36-40, when he was asked, “Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law? He replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You must love your neighbor as you love yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.'” (Common English Bible translation)

Love God: To love, worship, and obey God with all our hearts.

Love Neighbor: To recognize that love of neighbor is our opportunity to share God’s love with others, as well as an expression of our love of God.

Love Like Christ: Our model to follow.

Our Beliefs

We believe in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.

We believe that man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.

We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.

We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.

We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
